My Experience in the soccer world!
As soon as I learned how to walk, I was also learning how to kick a ball. That was when my relationship with the British sport started. Soccer is my passion and also my family's passion too, so I was taught to appreciate and enjoy this sport since I know myself as a person. I've been playing in youth academies of professional clubs back in Brazil for the last 7 years and experiencing priceless moments; I also have worked with so many different coaches with different visions of soccer that made me learn a lot. It is because of all of these experiences that I’m forever grateful to soccer for bringing me where I am right now. I won’t get tired of saying that coming to play college soccer here in America was the best decision I've ever made. Besides learning a lot inside the field, the experiences outside of the field are also wonderful. The "family" bonding I have with my team mates is fantastic and I will always want to bring it with me wherever I go. Summarizing, I am pretty sure that all those experiences that I’ve had and that I will have with soccer, those experiences will help me a lot in my professional goals.

Houston Dutch LionsCollege soccer players have the opportunity to join summer teams that are considered to be in a semi-professional level of soccer. These teams play leagues that are at a really good level. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to play for Houston Dutch Lions during the summer of 2015, where all the coaching staff is from Netherlands. I also had the opportunity of being coached by professionals from a different soccer school with different philosophies, which is greatly valuable for my soccer background.

Jamestown Soccer ClubDuring the fall of 2015, athletes from the University of Jamestown Men's Soccer team helped Coach Nienhaus to coach infants at the Jamestown Soccer Club. I was able to help coaching these kids for several times and I could learn how to deal with them and work in a proper manner to initiate them in soccer. Even though working only with kids is not my main goal, I count that as a good experience because teaching soccer for people who have any background is always challenging, and challenges like that made me learn and grow a lot professionally.

Youth Academies (Brazil)Since I was 12 years old I've been playing for youth academies from many different professional teams in Brazil. I could easily say that much of my understanding of soccer today came from this background, where I was able to work with a lot of different coaches with different philosophies of soccer. I could also experience a lot of different ways of practicing soccer, learning several kinds of drills and exercises that are always aiming a soccer excellence.
